THE NOLA PEARCE AWARD

In 2023 a new Service Award was established, to be known as the “Nola Pearce Service Award”.

Nola Pearce has been a member of The Quilters’ Guild of South Australia Inc (SA Quilters) since 1986 and was President in 1993/1994 and 2010/2012.

She also served in the following capacities:  Judging Panel between 2006 -2021, Exhibition Convenor, Teachers Forum 2010-2013 and was the inaugural Insurance officer.  Nola joined the Appraisal Panel in 1992 when it began and is still on the Panel 30+ years later.

Nola was awarded Life Membership in 1994 and epitomises the spirit of service.

To be considered for the Nola Pearce Service Award a member must have:

1. Had continuous membership of SA Quilters for 10 years
2. Given service to SA Quilters for a minimum of 10 years
3. Represent SA Quilters in a positive and supportive light at all times

And attained two of the three following criteria:

1. Made a major contribution to the further improvement of SA Quilters
2. Served as a member of one or more SA Quilters teams
3. Actively participated in the undertakings of SA Quilters

SA QUILTERS ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING 2024
The inaugural Nola Pearce Service Awards were presented by Nola Pearce to Sue Wege and Rosslyn Holmes at the Annual General meeting in May 2024.
