Bedford Mystery 2014

The cheque has been presented $103,443.70 - what a FANTASTIC effort.

Thanks to Faye, Lessa, the Claytons fundraising team and everyone who contributed in any way to the success of this brilliant fundraising effort. Those who attended workshops and bought kits need to know that Bedford changes lives every day and you have helped in that process. 1230 kits were cut and only 30 remain. After 4 events Faye confirmed this was the last Mystery. The committee will continue to sell Plaid & I Spy kits, fundraising in other 'smaller' ways - famous last words I wonder? Until the next bright idea....

Presenting the cheque to Bedford representatives

Claytons Committeee (about half)

Bedford Group, a charity providing opportunities for South Australians with a disability or disadvantage.

After 2 previous mysteries, in 2012, Quilters across Australian joined forces to raise over $75,000

For the last 75 years, Bedford has played a vital role in the South Australian community by providing exceptional training, employment and accommodation opportunities for more than 3000 of our States most vunerable people. The Bedford philosphy is based on a simple yet powerful principle - to ensure that every person, regardless of their circumstance, can participate and thrive.

Faye, Lessa and a merry band of helpers had quilt kits ready for purchase. Each kit included all fabric, pre-cut, with instructions to make a delightful scrap quilt 48 x 48".

Saturday 1 March 2014

Congratulations to Faye & Lessa with a wonderful TEAM beside them. March 1 was the first official Bedford Mystery Quilt 2014 Sewing Day. Thanks to the wonderful Bedford staff who came along to support the event. All workshops are complete - time to show off what you made.
