About QGSA

Quilters' Guild of South Australia Inc

Quilters' Guild of South Australia was formed in 1984 and has grown to encompass over 450 individual Guild members, as well as more than 100 affiliated city and country groups.

The objects of the Guild are to:

  • Promote the art of patchwork and quilting
  • Provide a forum for quilters in South Australia
  • Encourage the formation and maintenance of quilters' groups within South Australia
  • Seek, encourage, and maintain a high standard of design and technique in both traditional and contemporary quilt making
  • Foster and maintain an interest in the history of patchwork and quilting
  • Hold, organise and take part in exhibitions and workshops whether in South Australia or elsewhere
  • Provide information, knowledge and skills with regard to quilt making in South Australia or elsewhere
  • Do such other acts and things as are in the opinion of the organisation, ancillary or conducive to the achievement of any one or more of the above objects
